Olivia Newton-John Sold Her Beloved Farmhouse in Australia to Fulfill Her Ultimate Dream

Olivia Newton-John is well-known for her activism concerning different environmental and animal issues

The self-proclaimed keeper of the forest, Olivia Newton-John has found a successor who would take care of her 187-acre farmhouse in New South Wales, Australia. After about 40 years, the 70-year-old actress is now transitioning to a new chapter in her life that she and her best pals started planning many years ago.

Selling Her Long-Time Australian Farm

After starring in the box-office Broadway musical Grease in 1978, Newton-John purchased the Australian farmstead and kept it for almost four decades. In February 2019, she initially listed the property for $3.42 million although, they didn’t reveal the final price that they agreed with its buyer.

Tranquility and Serenity

The picturesque farm is ideal for those who seek optimal peace and quiet and who want to connect with nature on a deeper level. The property boasts tranquil, natural amenities such as a waterfall, a creek, and freshwater streaming down the compound.

The four-time Grammy Award-winning star fell in love with the property’s natural beauty. It is a piece of paradise for people who have a deep devotion to the wilderness. There are over ten thousand trees in the vicinity, and it is a home for different kinds of wildlife. What captured Newton-John’s heart the most is the blissful feeling of waking up in the morning with numerous species of birds singing in the background.

House Features

There is a three-bedroom rustic abode that serves as the main home of the property. The house features timber flooring and fossil-like panels with chunks of ingrained sea-shells and pebbles. Newton-John added some personal touch in the main house when she renovated it in 2002.

Inside the property, there is also a four-bedroom guest house adjacent to the actress’s main abode. In addition to that is a conjoined suite with its own entryway. The property’s blueprint feels very homey with a lot of privacy.

Gaia Retreat and Spa

Olivia Newton-John co-founded the retreat facility, Gaia in 2005 together with her close friends

Although she already bid farewell to her beloved farm, Newton-John will still be just around the corner residing at her retreat and spa, Gaia. She co-founded the retreat facility in 2005 alongside her pals, whom she shares the same vision for their retirement.

They wanted Gaia to be their inner circle’s safe place where they can all settle down and live the rest of their golden years. As much as she loves to keep her farm, she wanted to focus on their long-time dream. Newton-John said it was a bitter-sweet goodbye, but she’s extremely happy that the years that they were all waiting for is finally within their reach.

Anyway, as the old saying states, home is where your heart resides. And we’re pretty much sure that Newton-John would still be able to fulfill her environmental mission at Gaia.
