One of the Biggest Names in the World of Hip Hop is Now Building a Career in the Real Estate Business

The world’s third-richest Hip Hop artist is reportedly transitioning to the real-estate business. Born on February 18, 1965, Andre Romelle Young, also known as Dr. Dre cemented his name in the Hip Hop industry when he first joined the Niggaz Wit Attitudes, although he started his musical journey with the World Class Wreckin’s Cru in 1984.

Music Career

Aside from founding Beats Electronics, Dr. Dre established Aftermath Entertainment and produced multi-platinum records

While co-owning the record label Death Row Records, he released his first solo studio album called The Chronic, making him the best-selling musician in 1993. His song Let Me Ride won a Grammy Award for Best Rap Solo Performance. He also produced a quadruple platinum album with Snoop Dogg named Doggystyle. Before leaving the company, he mentored his step brother Warren G and Snoop Doggs’s cousin Daz Dillinger to become a producer.

Dr. Dre took a huge part on the success of the careers of several rap artists, including Snoop Dogg

He founded his own label called Aftermath Entertainment and produced the anthology Dr.Dre Presents the Aftermath in 1996. Dr. Dre helped several rap artists like Eminem, 50 Cent, 2Pac, The D.O.C., Snoop Dogg, Xzibit, Knoc-turnal, The Game, Kendrick Lamar, and Anderson Paak to establish their careers in the industry. He took home another Grammy Award for Producer of the Year and four other Grammys for his songs.

Real Estate Business

With a personal net worth of $770 million, Dr. Dre has been purchasing properties such as a $40-million Brentwood estate previously owned by Tom Brady and Gisele Bundchen and two more houses in the Los Angeles neighborhood, for several years now.

The Woodland Hills Home

Dr. Dre listed his long-time property in Woodland Hills for $5.25 million

The soon-to-be real-estate mogul is hoping to dispose of his long-time home in Woodland Hills with an asking price of $5.25 million. He acquired the French country-style mansion twenty years ago for only $2.35 million and has been adding modern upgrades to flip it.

Home Features

Built in 1987, the 16,200 square-foot manor is located in a secure, gated neighborhood. The three-story abode features a 250-bottle wine cellar, two fully-equipped kitchens, a barre studio, a room theater, and a 150-gallon aquarium. Most of the doors in the house are made of glass like the massive folding-glass doors that separate the living room and the wet bar. There is also a steamed bathtub covered with glass doors giving it an indoor-outdoor ambiance.

The house has a total of eight bedrooms, thirteen bathrooms, two powder rooms, multiple living and dining rooms, an executive office, and a pool table in the waiting area. It highlights several cozy spots such as wraparound terraces and furnaces.

And last, but not the least, is the exquisite master’s bedroom with a small lobby, dressing room, lush bathroom, and dry sauna. There are additional balconies, a flat-screen television, and a fire pit nearby the pool area. Dr. Dre surely knows how to play the house flipping game!
