All the Details that You Need to Know About Steve Martin’s Beverly Hills Estate that He Listed for $2.149 Million
The award-winning banjo player Steve Martin is selling one of his beloved homes in Beverly Hills, California for $2.149 million. He acquired the four-bedroom abode back in the fall of the late ‘90s, and it is conveniently not far from his current English country-style residence.
The property has around 1,400 square-feet living space camouflaged at the rear of the jungle-like area of the neighborhood. The home gives you an old country vibe with its wide-open spaces. Through the front door, the refreshing touch of beige flooring of the enormous entrance hall welcomes you.
Other House Features
To accommodate guests, you can either sit in front of the baroque chimney located at the far end of the living room or relax at the white-painted receiving area where natural light comes through the sloped ceiling.
There is also an allotted room for breakfast that features two gigantic picture windows, and vaulted roofs allowing the sunbeams inside the house. The lustrous kitchen is one of the highlights of the house. The pitch-dark granite countertops make the room glitter. There are custom-built slatted cabinetry and lots of unconventional voluptuous details.
The three guest bedrooms have their own bathrooms for optimal convenience, plus, a state-of-the-art master’s suite. The master’s bedroom brings you closer to nature with its exposed-beam upper interior and a couple of doorways leading you out to a private veranda with a magnificent sighting of the canyon. A see-through glass divides the bathroom’s deep-soaking bathtub and its shower, giving it an exquisite appearance.
More cultivated landscaping surrounds the backyard with several brick verandas where you can spend your afternoon reading while breathing in the fresh California air. There is also a two-car parking space in front of the house.
Steve Martin’s other Properties
Aside from his two Beverly Hills estates, the American comedian owns an $885,000 condominium in Central Park, New York, a 5,700 square-feet modern-style property in Montecito California, and has sold several homes like his Colonial compound over-looking the ocean located at the Caribbean island of St. Barts.
Career in Comedy
Steve Martin first built a career in stand-up comedy where he won an Emmy Awards alongside the other writers of The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour.
He then later frequently appeared in The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson and other shows such as The Gong Show, On Location, The Muppet Show, and Saturday Night Live. He also took some movie roles before he decided to go all in with his passion for music.
Martin has a deep love for his banjo since he was just 17 years old. He received several accolades for playing the 5-string instrument such as Best Country Instrumental Performance at the 2002 Grammy Awards and Best Bluegrass Album Award at the 2010 Grammy Awards.
