From a Boat House, Outdoor TVs, and Classic Chandeliers, Kid Rock’s Riverfront Mansion Can be Yours for This Surprising Price

Born on January 17, 1971, Robert James Ritchie, also known by his artist name Kid Rock, has established a successful music career all by himself. Although he is mostly known to be a rock star, his three-story home in Detroit that he listed for sale reflects his country persona more.

Kid Rock’s Detroit Mansion

Kid Rock listed his riverfront property in Detroit for $2.2 million

Built sometime in 1930, the property spans 6,000 square feet of living space and is one of the few houses that are located on the Detroit River. The furnishing of the house screams the primitive age featuring the palatial staircase. The mansion’s white wall highlights several vintage designs such as tin ceilings, wooden beams, and crystal candelabrum.

House Features

Most of the rooms in Kid Rock’s mansion has white paneling such as the chef’s kitchen

The chef’s kitchen also boasts a milky paneling, while the formal dining room has a bloody theme. There are many living rooms in the house to receive the guests, as well as six extra bedrooms for accommodation. The basement is a marvelous canvas with black-and-white flooring that you can transform into anything you want. Does a game room sound fantastic? How about hanging a wide flat-screen TV to make it a theater room?

Inside, there is also a library, a bar, a card table, and a main lounging area. The spacious atrium welcomes the visitor with a state-of-the-art blueprint with a little touch of the 21st century. The master’s bedroom features the beautiful scenery of the Detroit River and Belle Isle. It also has an exquisite custom bathroom where you can pamper yourself.

Boat House

Kid Rock purchased the house for $465,000 way back in 2012, and he’s currently selling it for $2.2 million after a series of renovations. That includes the stunning boathouse that has a shower outside, a new break wall, an adjacent heated car-park that can fit at least two vehicles, and two outdoor televisions that are fully-functional throughout the year.

The boathouse is fully-equipped with a modern-day entertainment system and jet-ski lifts for recreational purposes. There is also a cozy upper deck where you can host a riverside party. Kid Rock probably grills some barbecue in there while watching football with friends. Or you can take your Netflix and chill game to the next level; sunbathing on the deck while binge-watching.

Kid Rock originally acquired the house for $465,000 way back in 2012 and did major renovations in it since then.

In 1990, Kid Rock debut as a self-thought rap artist and DJ with the release of his album Grits Sandwiches for Breakfast. He transitioned to country music in 2010 releasing his album Born Free. He taught himself how to play the guitar, piano, drums, and turntables. The Twisted Brown Trucker served as his backing band for nine out of his eleven studio albums.
