Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner Flew All the Way to France to Have Their Second and More Elegant Wedding Ceremony

Just like any other modern couple, social media played a very big role for Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s love story. It all started with one direct message on Instagram with a little help from their mutual friends who pushed the Jonas Brothers singer to connect with the beautiful Game of Thrones actress.

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner’s Love Story

Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner started their love story through social media and peer pressure

Their pals believed that the two would get along very well, and they’ve been trying to acquaint them for a very long time. Due to their very busy schedules, that didn’t happen, so Jonas took the initiative to send Turner a private message and asked her to go out.

They were seen together a couple of times in late 2016, but they kept everything in private until Turner posted a picture of him on a boat in January 2017, making them “Instagram official”.

After several months of dating, Jonas and Turner posted a matching photo on Instagram confirming their engagement in October 2017. Their friends weren’t wrong about their compatibility. They did awesome things together, like attending Halloween parties, getting a tattoo, and traveling.

Even though the duo is known to be very spontaneous and adventurous, they still left everyone open-mouthed when they tied the knot in a surprise wedding ceremony in Las Vegas in May 2019.

Las Vegas Wedding

In May 2019, the couple had a surprise wedding in Las Vegas, right after attending the Billboard Music Awards

Showing the couple’s personalities, the elements of their nuptials include an Elvis impersonator who facilitated the ceremony, ring pops as wedding bands, and Diplo as wedding DJ who broadcast every moment of their big day on Instagram Live Story. No one saw it coming because they casually attended the Billboard Music Awards where Jonas performed before they got hitched.

Their Second Wedding in France!

Just recently, they took their families and friends to le Chateau de Tourreau in France to exchange vows in a more formal and extravagant wedding celebration. The stunning Château Martinay is a very popular wedding destination because of its palatial and exquisite architecture. It is available for charter via Airbnb Luxe for $6,851 a night.

Built sometime between 1750 and 1770, the estate has everything to cater an extravagant wedding such as nine suites for the guests, the main salon for socializing, dining area, a wine vault, a billiards room for additional entertainment, an outdoor veranda, a swimming pool, and a lot more. And of course, within the compound, there is an antique chapel where love birds can say “I do”.

If their Las Vegas wedding showcased unique and cute details, the couple’s French wedding defines nothing but fancy from Turner’s Louis Vuitton wedding gown to the classy wedding ring and star-studded guest list. Lady Sansa may not end up sitting on the Iron Throne, but her wedding was certainly fit for a queen.
